ISRAEL. Jerusalem. August 7, 2014. Mohammed Amin Siyam, 14 years old. 11 were killed. An additional person who was injured is in the French hospital with Mohammed. 2 are in Egypt, 2 in Gaza. He has shrapnel in his left and right shoulders. Right leg amputated. Fracture and burns in left leg.
St Josephs French Hospital in East Jerusalem. The hospital, owned by the Vatican, was treating the patients pro-bono. 42 had arrived since the beginning of Operation Protective Edge. 3 children have had their limbs amputated. Patients arrived after primary medical treatment. Patients received permits and came through following coordination between Israel, Red Cross, and Red Crescent. Permits are temporary and only for the hospital, meaning they cannot leave the hospital premises.
