G.B. ENGLAND. Margaret Thatcher, British Prime Minister. May 1983. Prior to the election campaign, in May 1983 Thatcher launches the Conservative manifesto in front of the then largest Union Flag in Britain, painted in 1977 to celebrate the Queen's jubilee in 1977.
It is in the dockyard, Venture Quays, Cowes, Isle of Wight, where Donald Cambell's boat 'Bluebird' was built.
