CHINA. Xinjiang. 2011. Uighur (Uyghur) jade diggers sleep in their tent after a day of work digging on the shore of the White Jade River. There is a tradition in Xinjiang that you're supposed to talk to a 'dreamteller' or someone close to you when you have a dream so that they can interpret it, or tell you some words to give it a positive twist. There is a strong sense there that dreams are part of reality and that you should listen to them.
