COLOMBIA. 2017. Jimena, 18, joined FARC when she was 14. "I never had a good relationship with my mother and we were always fighting. I decided to run away from home. In our village I saw some Farc members and asked them if I can go with them. On my first night at the base, a military helicopter was spinning around our tents till the morning and I was so scared. There are two types of girls in the Farc, city girl and jungle girl. City girls only had to be around people and find information for the Farc, and the jungle girls fight. Now I feel so free because I can laugh and shout in jungle. In the past sometimes we could not talk for weeks, because we were running away and no one had to hear a sound from us otherwise the military could have found us and bombard us. When I go back to the city I want to become a fashion designer or own a beauty salon."
