A mannequin used as a scarecrow on a field in the outskirts of So Seong Ri village, a farming community next to the site where the US Army wants ti install the THAAD missile defense system.
Residents of Seongju county - where the system will be deployed - are mostly opposed to the deployment, saying that it poses health and environmental hazards and argue that its presence could make them a priority target for North Korea.
