Moises Saman
SRI LANKA. Reddaivaikal. January, 2018. Vivekamanththan Yeyalinkeswary, 43, photographed inside her home on the outskirts of Mullaitivu.
Vivekamanththan's daughter Tanoja, was 16 when she disappeared after being wounded during an attack by the Sri Lankan Army on the village of Mullivaikal, northern Sri Lanka. A few years later, Vivekamanththan believes that her daughter's face appeared in the background of a campaign photograph for the current Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena in which he is surrounded by Sri Lankan school girls during a campaign stop.
