MACEDONIA. Gevgelija. 2015. EU border agency Frontex said that 710,000 people fleeing war and poverty entered the European Union in the first nine months of this year — more than double the number in all of 2014. Greece receives around 7000 refugees a day, most of which will travel through to Macedonia to continue their journey into mainland Europe.
