George Rodger
Libya. 1947. A tank on the road to Tripoli. Winding up the Tocra pass from the Benghazi plains onto the plateau, one finds this tank by the roadside. On its undercarriage, the Italians wrote in white paint “American Tank, British Equipment, Italian Bomb” and some 8th humourist added “Some Chicken”.
