BELGIUM. Brussels. 2016. Zafar is preparing an Afghan diner for his host family.
Zafar Ahmadi (18), Abbas Eidzada (22) and Turyali Ahmadi (20) are from Ghazni in Afganistan. They arrived in Belgium last year in October. Zafar and Turylali are brothers and Abbas is their nephew. For a short period of time Zafar, Abbas and Turyali were hosted by Virginia Spits and her husband David Glejser in their apartment in Brussels. Virginia hosted other people before.
Zafar, Abbas and Turyali often come over during the weekend to visit Virginia and her family. Two of them had their first meeting in the commisary for foreigners.
