USA. New York City. March 5, 2003. The organizers of a rally, "Stop the War! No Police State!" called for students to leave their classrooms and join in protest at Union Square. Hundreds of students did, many with their teachers. Several addressed the crowd that filled the square. A few of the younger students taped their mouths shut to decry the threat to free speech.
