It portrays some of the artists who lived at the Chelsea then: on the swing is Peter Brook, then staging "A Midsummer Night's Dream"; with the laurel is Arthur Miller; in the spacesuit is Arthur Clarke, who wrote "2001: A Space Odyssey" at the Chelsea; other artists portrayed are Virgil Thomson, Moses Sawyer, Shirley Clarke and Karel Appel.
