SOUTH PACIFIC. November 5th, 1943. Navy Hellcat pilots cross the flight deck of the USS Saratoga and head for their planes just before the Japanese on Rabaul were hit a smashing blow. These men provide fighter coverage for Avenger torpedo bombers and Dauntless dive bombers. Left to right are Ensign Charles W. MILLER, of Houston, Texas; Lt. Hal DEARING, of Cleveland, Ohio, and LT. Bus ALDER, of San Mateo, California.
