PERU. Lima. 2006. During house visits in MSF truck. The total number of HIV infected persons in Peru is estimated at 93,000, with most living in the Lima and adjacent Callao area. MSF Peru treats 259 patients through clinics, house visits, and urban educational campaigns. Today, fewer than 5% of the 40 million world wide AIDS victims are receiving treatment. MSF treats 23,000 patients in 27 countries.
