ISRAEL. Jenin Refugee Camp. Occupied West Bank. May 2002. A father carries his child through the rubble of Jenin Refugee Camp, home of 14,000 Palestinian refugees. Israeli military bulldozers completely destroyed 140 homes and partially destroyed many more during the siege which lasted two weeks. Approximately 4000 residents were left homeless and at least 52 Palestinian combatants and civilians were killed. Children raised in this environment become tomorrow's militants.
