ICELAND. Myvatn district. 2007. The Godafoss waterfall. It is located in the Myvatn district of North-Central Iceland. The water of the river Skjalfandafljot falls from a height of 12 meters over a width of 30 meters. Some environmental activists say Godafoss is threatened by the prospect of dambuilding on Skjalfandafljot river, which is a possible power source for the proposed new Alcoa smelter at Husavik.
