ICELAND. Reykjavik. 2007. An environmental activist being arrested by the police. The activists took part in an anti-industrialization protest in central Reykjavik. The protest was non-violent, and consisted of a parade that marched down highways, stopping traffic along the way. Once they got close to the centre, they were halted by police, and several activists were arrested.

Many of the protestors were dressed up as clowns, a routine meant to bring attention to the protest in a surprising way. The protestors white face paint is the remains of a clown costume.
