WEST BANK. Hebron. December, 2003. Settler hate graffiti on an Arab home signed by the JDL (Jewish Defense League), a U.S. based terrorist organization whose former leader, Irv RUBIN, was charged, in 2001, with attempting to blow up a Los Angeles mosque as well as the office of U.S. Congressman Darrell ISSA, R- Calif. The JDL was founded by Rabbi MEIR KAHANE of Brooklyn, who was incarcerated in the U.S., in 1971, for conspiring to make bombs. Other extremist organizations such as the "Jewish Underground," which once attempted to blow up the Dome of the Rock Mosque in Jerusalem, also thrive in Hebron.
