USA. Staten Island, NY. November 3rd, 2012. Joseph Graham and Helene Giarraputo in the destroyed New Dorp Beach neighborhood of Staten Island. They lost their home in during Hurricane Sandy and are staying with friends. In the aftermath of the storm they had to escape from their home in almost head-level water as their one story home was flooded. In the days that followed they have been taking care of their neighbors. They are monitoring the diabetes of one, and bringing food to an elderly woman who is too scared to leave her flooded home.
