This image came from one of McCurry's earliest trips to Afghanistan. Maybe through work or play, a young boy is overwhelmed with tiredness. Taking a brief nap, his father's knee provides a temporary support. As the father protectively places his arms around his son, we are privileged to witness a moment of genuine tenderness.
