GB. ENGLAND. Car Boot sale. 'Car boot sales are great hunting-grounds for still lives. At a sale in Watchet, Somerset, I was taken by this image of the Queen and Prince Philip at their coronation, on an old, rusty toffee tin. The tin is almost 50 years old, and starting to decay. I thought it was a good visual metaphor for the decline of the monarchy'. From 'Common Sense'. 1998.
