IRAN. Tabas. Wreckage of a US RH-53D Sea Stallion helicopter, which crashed in the Iranian desert near Tabas, in a failed attempt to liberate American hostages held captive in Tehran by islamist militants. The operation was called Eagle Claw, the location Desert One. April 26th 1980.
