Taliban soldiers at display in the central square. Soldiers the United Front/ Northern Alliance loyal to late commander Masood took the city after most Taliban abandonned it. In several incidents of sporadic fighting between NA and Taliban several people are killed. Pockets of Taliban resistance remain in the city.
