Distro - Refugees Locked Down in Greece Islands

Just before the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, new influx of refugees and migrants had reached a critical point of tensions with local people. Facing a situation compared with « a powder keg ready to explode », local authorities were calling for a state of emergency. It was March 2nd, 2020.
By the end of the same month the Covid related lockdown was imposed Samos and Lesbos, and already squalid, medieval-like conditions with barely any access to clean water, electricity and healthcare, was not improved .
