As Israeli parliament approved new government, with right-wing nationalist Naftali Bennett on Sunday 13th, 2021, Israel’s longest-serving PM Benjamin Netanyahu left office ending 12 years of tenure. Naftali Bennett became Israeli’s new prime minister with a razor-thin margin of 60 votes to 59.

However, Netanyahu remains the head of the largest party in parliament. Bennett is the head of an ultranationalist party that controls six seats on 120 at the parliament. The two are ideologically aligned and Bennett is a former chief of staff to his predecessor.
