Sophia Cecelia Kaloyeropoulos also known as Maria Callas or « La Callas » and « La Divina », was a Greek opera singer born in New York City on December 2, 1923. Her lyrical versatility and artistic interpretations made her one of the greatest of the 20th century in her field. The Soprano died in Paris on September 16, 1977.
