Archive - Gunter Grass

Magnum Photographers

Nobel Prize winning author and artist Gunter Grass has died at the age of 87. He's best known for his novel, "The Tin Drum" (part of his "Danzig Trilogy"), which was later made into a Academy Award winning film.
Despite the fact that he'd served in the Waffen SS during WWII, which he'd longed kept a secret, Grass was devoted to the left wing.
