Consignment - The Spanish Civil War begins.

Lasting from July 18, 1936 to April 1, 1939, the Spanish Civil War was a conflict in which the incumbent Second Spanish Republic and political left-wing groups fought against a right-wing nationalist insurrection led by General Francisco Franco, who eventually succeeded in ousting the Republican government and establishing a personal dictatorship. A result of the complex political, economic and cultural divisions, the conflict claimed the lives of an estimated 300,000 to 1,000,000 people and ended with Fanco's Nationalists ascension to power.
