In February 2004, Iran will celebrate the 25th anniversary of its Islamic Revolution. For two years, 1978-1980, Abbas covered the Iranian revolution and its aftermath. His book " Iran, la révolution confisquée" did not do well with the emerging mollarchy. His book on Islam was banned in Iran.
