Marc Quinn's sculpture 1+1=3 is a real rainbow created in a wall of water droplets 8 metres high by 16 metres wide.

A real rainbow has never been artificially created before and when it's launched on September 11th 2002 at the opening of the Liverpool Biannual Of Contemporary Art it will be the sculptures first public outing.

The sculpture will be installed in the vast Construction hall at Cammell Lairds Ship Building Yard on the banks of the River Mersey.
