In March 2002 Mark spent ten memorable days aboard the Finnish icebreakers ‘Kontio’ and ‘Fennica’. These huge and powerful vessels assisted international shipping to reach ports in the northern section of the Bay of Bothnia, across seas which were often frozen for six months of the year.
