Nicolae Ceausescu was a Romanian Communist politician who held the positions of General Secretary of the Romanian Communist Party, President of Romania and President of the State Council. His position ended with the Romanian Revolution, and was tried and convicted of genocide and sabotage of the Romanian economy.
