On 4th September 2016, Mother Teresa will be canonized by the Holy See in Rome. Born Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu on August 27, 1910, in Skopje, Yugoslavia to an Albanian family. In 1928, she settled in India, soon changing her name to Mother Teresa. In 1949 she founded the Order of the Missionaries of Charity to help the poorest inhabitants in the townships of Calcutta.
