These photographs were taken in two Miskito Indian communities, Corn Island and Peurto Cabezas, along the Caribbean coast of Nicaragua. The Miskito Indians, a mestizo group, have for centuries fished along the Caribbean coast of Central America. They are renowned as turtle fisherman and seafarers.
