The "Fair of the Berber Brides" takes place at Imilichil in Morocco's Atlas Mountains every year, when the tribes of the Alt Hadidou celebrate the festivity of their saint Sidi Ahmed Oulmaghani at imilchil.The legend has it that next to the 2 lakes of Isli and Tislit (the engagement Lakes), two young people fell in love and wanted to get married but the parents did not give their consent, so the couple committed suicide by drowning in the lake.Grieved by their deaths, the parents of the region decided that from then on a couple had the right to 'chose their own partner'.The festivities last for...
