Katharine Hepburn was born May 12, 1907 in Hartford, Connecticut into a privileged family life. At the age of 21 she made her acting debut with a Baltimore Stock company in a production of "The Czarina." She won her first Academy Award in 1933 for the movie "Morning Glory," and won three more after that for the movies; "The Philadelphia Story," (1938) "A Lion In The Winter" (1968), and "On Golden Pond" (1981).
