American author/activist Susan Sontag died on Tuesday, December 28th, 2004 at the age of 71. An author who was never afraid to immerse herself in political discussion, she created such works as "Notes on Camp," "Illness as Metaphor," "The Volcano Lover," and "On Photography." In addition to writing, Sontag also worked in film and penned a few plays.
