Distro - John McCain Visiting Vietnam and Place he was a POW. 2000.

Philip Jones Griffiths

On October 26, 1967, John McCain was shot down during a raid on Central Hanoi in and attempt to knock out a thermal power plant. After his plane crashed into a lake, he was captured , and spent the next 5 1/2 years in prison. Now he visits this lake and prison and remembers his time there. While in Hanoi, McCain pays his respect to six coffins that hold the possible remains of six US Veterans. America is spending nearly $100 million per year to recover remains and checkout rumors of living POW's in Vietnam (none have ever been found.)
