Some of the most outstanding photos taken on that dawn morning of June 6, 1944 showing the allied invasion of the Omaha Beach in Normandy were by Robert Capa, the well know war photographer. He was part of the crew on the flagship SS Chase which took the Commanders and men of the Allied Expeditionary Force in the D-Day invasion. "I was in a flat bottom barge that hit the earth of France.
