For two years, 1978-1980, Abbas covered the Iranian revolution and its aftermath. His book " Iran, la révolution confisquée" did not do well with the emerging mollarchy. His book on Islam was banned in Iran.
Eager to end his 17 years long self-imposed exile, Abbas took advantage of the presidential elections to return to Iran.
He tells the story of his return to Iran with sequencing of his essay and the extented captions on the back of each print.
