Floods in Bangladesh have made two million people homeless since the floods began in the south-west of the country on Sept 26 2000.

Over the years, the country has adapted to this annual disaster situation. Most dwellings are made from the traditional bamboo withstanding the regular floodings from the Padma (Ganges) river in a way no other material can.
