AT BEACH HEAD, SUICIDE IS NEVER A CRY FOR HELP. WHEN MOTHER OF THREE TRACEY DECIDED TO JUMP, ONLY TIM RAYMENT A WRITER FOR THE SUNDAY TIMES STOOD BETWEEN HER AND A 535FT DROP ONTO THE ROCKS BELOW. TIM RAYMENT ON AN ASSIGNMENT THAT BECAME A REAL LIFE CLIFFHANGER.

Beachy Head, a grassy corner of Britain that carries a sad distinction. It has become the world's worst spot for suicide. The title used to belong to the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, but when its barriers were raised, the numbers dropped. By mid November 16 people had fallen from its 535ft cliffs; fewer than the 26 who died...
