Distro - Iran: From Khomeiny to Khatami. 1978-2001 

A. Abbas 

Presidential elections in Iran are scheduled for June 8. They should determine the future of the country, with a liberal faction, led by Pt Khatami trying to ease the country out of its revolution and conservatives aggressively enforcing Khomeinist values.

For four years photographer Abbas has documented the vital changes occuring in Iran through women, youth and artists.
