'The Honey Hunters'

Across Tanzania's South Masai Steppe live the Dorobo. The few hundred remaining semi-nomadic people are, by name and status, poor Masai without cattle. They depend upon alternative means of survival: honey (principally) and the occasional success at killing wild game or a giraffe with bow and poisoned arrow. The scorched landscape is punctuated by Africa's national tree, the baobab or 'tree of food' (thought to reach the age of two thousand five hundred years).
