California’s Central Valley, a rural, agricultural area in the heart of the state, is home to three of the top five poorest metropolitan areas in the US. Though it grows nearly half of the nation’s produce, one in five of its residents faces hunger at home. This project combines geotagged images with census data to document conditions in the Central Valley’s communities.
