Between five to six thousand prisoners of war remain under guard at the El Ansar prison camp in Southern Lebanon, out of the original 8000 captured by the Israelis during the 1982 war in Lebanon.It now appears that the Israelis are rebuilding a camp for the winter, amidst the tents the prisoners have even made a "mock" imitation plane with which to escape.On their side the Palestinian Liberation Organisation hold only 8 Israeli prisoners of war in a camp somewhere in the Bekaa Valley region of Eastern Lebanon. 30 Sept 1983.
