INDIA. Sikh refugees.
Raghu Rai
Nov 84. Riots in various parts of the country have followed Indira GANDHI' s assassination by her two Sikh bodyguards. Around 16000 Sikhs fled their homes from fear of persecution as 1000 people, most of them Sikhs reportedly have been killed since Indira's death. His son, Rajiv GANDHI, has ordered the military to crush any resurgence of violence largely directed against Sikhs and a refugee camp has been built in Delhi which houses 16350 Sikhs.
