Near the town of Eletse some 700 klms south of Moscow is the detention center and work camp of Eletse in the Province of Lipetsk.The penitentiary has a 'central area' where longterm inmates are put in cells of 10/25 prisoners.They are allowed daily exercise for 1 hour,eat in their cells, and beform minor tasks.The 'prison colony" is where the inmates are free to move around each day within a compound, with dormitories, dining areas, showers.etc.The 'work zone" has 2 factories with steel plant making central heating radiators,prisoners work in two shifts,and are bodily checked as they move from compound to compound.There is a 'cast system' kind of internal mafia indicated visually by body tattoos.
