A director and an actress, part of a small theatre group in regular financial difficulty and in continuous struggle for survival decided to be locked up in Voltera prison voluntarily, in order to work with the inmates. There they found rich human material amongst the prisoners, who themselves found an activity and an inner freedom within which they could improve themselves.
