These photos were taken in 1954 prior to Ernest HEMINGWAY's planned visit to Sweden to collect the Nobel Prize for Literature (1954) and show him and his third wife Mary WELSH at their home in Cuba. It is called LA FINCA VIGIA (Lookout Farm) and is located in San Francisco de Paula in Cuba amongst thirteen acres of land and gardens, and an orchard, an oasis in the decaying Cuban town.
