Mother Teresa is the leader of the Missionaries of Charity (Nirmal Hridaya/Pure Heart) Order which is located in Calcutta.They were founded by in 1957 when she ran a home for the dying and destitute Nirmal Hriday in the Kalighat suburb of Calcutta.In 1979 she was awarded the Nobel PEACE PRIZE, and has continued to travel the world in charitable efforts to expand her Missionary of Charity to other countries outside of India. She was born on the 27th August 1910 in Skopje (Yugoslavia) her maiden name is Agnes Gonxha Bajaxhiu.
